They say winter is the harbinger of all things good. Rightly so! Be it the chill in the air or the series of festivals; these upcoming months witness merrymaking in all their grandeur. While we’re talking of everything that this winter is about to bring along, let’s focus on Isha Gupta Tayal’s new line of bridal collection: Reframing the Regal. Isha loves to play with colours and designs primarily keeping the “experimental Indian brides in mind.”
The label has already garnered a lot of attention through multi-designer stores since it first started in 2013. The collection has never failed to bring something new every season by interweaving her new work technique and the traditional forms of zardozi. Her label, IGT is synonymous with both- custom and contemporary, giving a breath of fresh air to age-old magnificence and therefore standing apart.
Moving a step ahead for her new winter festive collection and choosing a complete contrasting colour palette than what her summer range showcased, this collection is inspired by the Victorian Era in its design and feel. ‘Reframing the Regal’ , to be first seen at the India Runway Week is for the brides who wish to not fall into the stereotype of Indian brides, and yet “want to be rooted in tradition”.
An amalgamation of the Steampunk Era and the Victorian Era brings forth the charm of 19th Century splendor, complimented by contemporary nuances.
When asked more about her collection, she says, “the label stands for those women who are all set to conquer the world. Playing around with free flowing silhouettes, IGT delivers an understated glamour to women of substance from all different walks of life.”
The collection definitely looks desirable and apt for young ambitious women, ready to brace new beginnings. Her segment surely, is going to redefine the way we look at bridal wear where brides will be seen refashioned into a new avatar altogether, yet not loosing the bling that they look for. We’re looking forward to the seventh season of India Runway Week, and Isha Gupta Tayal’s collections specially, to sweep people off their feet.
In this 7th season of India Runway Week, Isha Gupta Tayal is going to stand out with her winter Festive line of bridal wear intricately designed using leather, metals and Victorian cuts. A lot of thought has been put into each design, and every little details have been taken care of. For instance, the goti-patti of the lehengas have been cut out of leather very finely and then used to add to the whole appeal of the collection.
From using cotton candy and peach pink colours, to now using bright reds and oranges, Isha Gupta Tayal’s line, Reframing the Regal is a promising collection, meant for brides to stun the world.
